The Byrne Gallery is thrilled to announce the continuation of our pop-up gallery location in Washington, D.C., through September 2025! The pop-up gallery first debuted as part of World Pride D.C. 2025. The Byrne Gallery has since continued showing a wide selection of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and artisan jewelry in our pop-up location.

This spring, we were a proud official event partner of the World Pride D.C. 2025 group. Our June show, “Arc of Colors,” featured a range of paintings by Craig Arnold, Miguel Diaz, Jeffrey Kibler, Joe LaMattina, Anne Manley, Regina Miele and Thomas Wharton to celebrate themes of pride, the beauty of color, and beyond.

This month now features paintings by artists Anne Marchand, Sharon Pierce McCollough, Susan Yennerell, and Carolyn Marshall Wright and work by sculptors Richard Binder and J.P. Muller for the exhibition The Happiness of Color - DC.

A reception for this exhibition will be held on Thursday August 21st and Friday August 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening.  All are warmly welcomed!

The Byrne Gallery delights in finding and working with artists of all different backgrounds and specialties from the Washington, D.C., region. We always prioritize working with local artists and connecting their artwork with connoisseurs who can offer the right home for their pieces.

For the final months of our pop-up location, we will be hosting a very special celebration for The Byrne Gallery’s 30th anniversary. We first opened our doors in historic Middleburg, Virginia, in 1995, and we are so grateful to celebrate this monumental milestone with our supporters by our side. Along with our anniversary, we will also be working with our long-time friend Yuri Gorbachev to host an anniversary exhibition.

Gorbachev is an internationally recognized artist who has been showing with The Byrne Gallery for over 20 years. Gorbachev’s mother’s family was originally from Ukraine. During the Soviet era, his mother was incarcerated by Stalin, and the drawings and gifts she sent from the prison camp to Gorbachev as a boy ultimately inspired him to become an artist. He still maintains a family residence in Odessa, where he would vacation every summer with his mother up until her passing in 2021. Gorbachev became a U.S. citizen in 1994 under a special 1991 visa program for individuals possessing extraordinary ability in the arts and sciences.

A portion of the sales from Gorbachev’s past several exhibitions with The Byrne Gallery have been donated to Ukrainian families through the International Rescue Committee for Ukrainian Refugees, which is consistently awarded top marks by charity watchdog groups for efficient use of contributions and overall impact.

With over 50 years of exhibitions worldwide, Gorbachev has had more than 200 solo exhibitions.  He estimates that over two billion people have seen his artwork. His work hangs in the permanent collections of the Louvre, Hermitage and several other Russian State Museums. He has been featured in publications including Elle, GQ, Forbes, and The New York Times – several of which also carried his famous 2011 advertisement for Stolichnaya Vodka.

Two special receptions for the artist will be held on Friday, September 5th and Saturday September 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Yuri will be in attendance and can’t wait to meet you! We invite you to come enjoy The Byrne Gallery’s unique showcase at our D.C. location throughout this summer through the end of September.

The Byrne Gallery D.C. is located at 17 Ridge Square Northwest, Washington, D.C., 20116.
