The Byrne Gallery is proud to announce Iconic Washington, its new Washington, D.C. gallery exhibition for the months of October and November, showcasing the photography of Colin Winterbottom and Robin Kent. These two renowned D.C. photographers will display a variety of black & white, sepia, and color photography.
The exhibition began on October 3rd and will continue through November 29th. A reception for the artists will be held on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend.
Colin Winterbottom is one of the preeminent fine art photographers in Washington, D.C. He was chosen to document the historic restoration of the National Cathedral and the Washington Monument after the earthquake in 2011. Afterward, in 2015-2016, he was given a one-man show at The National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. focusing on the breathtaking detail, remarkable views and fleeting vantages that are only attainable from scaffold.

Robin Kent is known for his dramatic color images of Washington, D.C., as well as landscape settings. His photography is collected by major corporate and private patrons and was featured in the “American Shrines: The Architecture of Presidential Commemoration,” published by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts. He is co-founder and current Treasurer of Great Falls Studios, a consortium of 80 artists in Great Falls, Virginia.
